Traci Tokhi - Sunnyvale Assistant Coach

  • Somatic Coach
  • Certified Swedish Massage Therapist
  • BA in Exercise Physiology
  • BA in Psychology
  • Master's in Social Work
  • Parent Educator (integrating health and fitness)

“I love what fitness has contributed to my own life and how I feel when I’m living my health and fitness goals,” Traci says, “I want to contribute to and witness others meeting their goals!”

A native of Chico, she currently lives in San Jose with her husband and four children (3 boys and a girl). Traci has played and enjoyed sports since she was nine years old. A competitive volleyball and softball player, she earned all-league honors in high school softball.

“From college on, I enjoyed bodybuilding, distance running and recreational sports. I love playing doubles volleyball, grass or sand, with my husband.  As a mother, I enjoy any fitness activity I can make the time and energy for - especially boot camp.”

For Traci, running a marathon has been one of her most demanding physical challenges to date.

“I ran the Napa Marathon with Team in Training in 2003 after my third child was born, and then I did the San Diego Rock-n-Roll on my own in 2005 after my fourth child was born.  I don't know what was more physically challenging, though - marathon running or birthing four children...It's a close call!”

As an AlaVie coach, Traci enjoys meeting and getting to know her clients “and watching the amazing progress over four weeks and beyond. I always aim to advocate for proper form and structural integrity first and speed and performance second.  Setting goals is crucial to seeing progress and celebrating results!”

Traci’s extensive training in Somatic Coaching (body-oriented life coaching) has also contributed to her belief in the mind-body connection.

“I am passionate about holistic self-care and wellness. Exercise, diet, healing and learning plus emotional and spiritual well-being are all factors.  Listening to and caring for our bodies impacts our lives on all levels.”
