Sarah Stretch - Walnut Creek Head Coach

  • ACSM Certified Health & Fitness Instructor
  • CPR Certified
  • Member of the CWPA Water Polo All Conference team 2000 and 2001
  • MA in Kinesiology
  • BA in Physical Education (emphasis in Coaching Administration)

A Bay Area native, Sarah has been involved with athletics and fitness her whole life.  As a youngster she was a competitive athlete and excelled in swimming, cross country, water polo and soccer.  In high school, she was a North Coast Section top 16 qualifier in swimming, competed in club and high school varsity soccer and was a North Coast Section and State qualifier in cross country. She also received the award for Most Valuable Athlete at Acalanes High school her senior year.

At Chico State University, Sarah continued her sports career, playing water polo and achieving CWPA All Conference Team honors. Today, she continues to explore her passion for athletics. Besides playing soccer, Sarah is an avid runner, competes in triathlons, and is hoping to train for a marathon in the near future.

Sarah has translated her love for sports and fitness into coaching and teaching others. For the past ten years, she’s coached children and adults of all ages. After earning her Master’s degree in Kinesiology from San Francisco State in 2006, she joined AlaVie Fitness, where she enjoys sharing her knowledge of and enthusiasm for fitness and wellness.

According to Sarah, her health and fitness philosophy is “to push people to excel and do what they are capable of, but at the same time make boot camp fun and a great experience.”

“I love to see the improvement that people can make physically and mentally,” she adds, “It’s so great to hear boot campers talk about how amazing they feel.”
