I can see and feel the difference in both my body and my personal spirit. I am looking forward to continuing on with my training to discover what other accomplishments I am capable of achieving.

Nicole Leonard - Campbell Head Coach

  • ACE Certified Personal Trainer
  • CPR Certified
  • NCAA Division I Soccer Coach
  • Former NCAA Division I Soccer Player
  • Youth Soccer Coach
  • BA in Mathematics

Growing up in Tennessee, Nicole played competitive soccer and basketball. After being recruited by the University of Santa Clara for soccer, she stayed in California and began coaching at San Jose State and the University of San Francisco upon graduation.

After 11 years of working with college-level and youth athletes, Nicole continues to derive great joy from coaching.

“My job is to have players prepared for the game, to be as helpful as possible, to try to push them to their maximum – even if they don’t think they can do it.”

“What I like most about coaching is watching my players improve, seeing them get recruited by colleges and winning scholarships,” Nicole says, “It’s really satisfying to see them grow into better athletes and better people.”

She joined AlaVie Fitness in 2006. In addition to serving as AlaVie’s head coach in Campbell, Nicole is an active participant in the company’s community partnership with the Bay Area Women’s Sports Initiative (BAWSI).

Nicole also developed the Girls in Motion program – a summer conditioning series designed for female athletes in all sports - along with AlaVie co-founder Mary Beth Gonzales because “growing up, I never had anyone help me take my game to the next level, and I want to give girls the guidance I wish I’d had as a young athlete.”
