Once she graduated high school, Kelly took over the competitive cheerleading program at Woodside High School and created the criteria by which cheerleaders in the Sequoia Union High School District gained recognition as athletes.
Five years later, Kelly opened up the first all-star competitive cheerleading gym in Redwood City, where she trained the national champion all-girl and co-ed teams. She now coaches the Sequoia High School Cheer Team, which is also nationally ranked.
Kelly’s love for cheerleading led to her interest in becoming a group exercise instructor. She has been teaching step aerobics and sculpting classes since 1998. Her enjoyment of exercise, along with her passion for training and coaching, is what drew her to AlaVie.
“It’s been a dream of mine to get out of working in an office and do what I truly enjoy: working in the fitness industry. AlaVie has given me that opportunity.”
Kelly loves the outdoors: skiing, camping, lying on the beach, hiking, and running. She also enjoys spending time with close family, friends, and her dog, Chelsea.
