"The best part of coaching is the strength I see within each person as they realize their capabilities and accomplishments," Danville native Jenni Masse says, "Everyone comes to boot camp with the power to succeed, and I love being able to help people realize the only limitations are the ones created in their minds."
Jenni has been involved in fitness for as long as she can remember.
"My father is very athletic and through him I developed a passion for sports and fitness. He used to coach all of my softball teams and inspired me to become involved in other aspects of fitness."
"I played softball from about 8 years old until I was 18," Jenni adds, "I grew up hiking and playing tennis as well. When I was an undergraduate studying psychology, I went on exchange to the University of Hawaii, where I studied to get my certification as an exercise physiologist. It has been truly to a gift to see my two passions become one as I've continued blending psychology and fitness."
After college, Jenni worked in Los Angeles for six years at the Sports Club/LA as a trainer and trained private clients as well.
Jenni recently moved to the Bay Area to pursue her PhD in Health Psychology, researching performance enhancement and visualization techniques for athletes.
"I have met many great people through my passion for health and fitness, and it has it guided me to a career I love. If you believe in yourself and set goals, you can accomplish anything."
For Jenni, "it's not just about getting through an hour of working out. [Fitness] requires a lifetime commitment to both personal and physical strength."
