David Jack is a Bay Area native who played varsity basketball, baseball, and soccer in high school and was a member of the University of Colorado's Freestyle Ski Team.
He also spent a semester at sea, traveling around the world aboard a ship while he completed a series of business courses. Shortly after graduating, Dave moved to Lake Tahoe for two years, where he worked as a dock attendant, photographer, and sales associate at Squaw.
Dave chose fitness as a career because “I'm passionate about the body and how it functions. I believe that fitness makes you more energized, de-stressed, happy, and confident to follow through with your goals.“
“When I think about what I enjoy most,“ Dave adds, “It always involves exercise. I love the outdoors, skiing, biking, running, soccer, basketball, wake boarding, golf, and traveling… I enjoy learning new techniques that progress my health and want to share all my information with others. Now that I have so much experience with fitness, I want to use my leadership skills to coach others on how to improve their bodies and lives.“
His favorite part of coaching? The people.
“I enjoy interacting with people who share the common interest of fitness,“ Dave says, “It's fun for me to motivate others and teach them the knowledge that I've learned. It's empowering to coach those people who want to progress their health because they respect the information and exercises I teach.“
“I believe in positive thinking, belief in yourself, staying open minded, and living healthy and happy,“ Dave adds, “Furthermore to achieve a healthy lifestyle I believe that both the mind and body must be challenged. When they're both active, you can work to your full potential and can achieve any personal goal. The problem is that in the shuffle of everybody's busy day with work, family, and friends, people forget to spend the necessary time on their health. That's why I want to help.“
