What is the AlaVie Boot Camp program?

A total body training program designed to give people all the tools they need to live happier, healthier and in balance. After spending many years working in corporate finance, Heather Glenn and Mary Beth Gonzales put their passion for health and wellness at the center of their professional lives and established AlaVie Fitness and the AlaVie Boot Camp program in 2004.

How does AlaVie Boot Camp benefit corporate clients?

The well-rounded, challenging, and consistent boot camp fitness routine offers participants the opportunity to release, rebalance, and recuperate from the often intense demands of the business day. In addition, participants interact with co-workers in a different context, creating opportunities for connections among employees who might not otherwise come into contact with one another.

When participants come to boot camp, they can give their brains a rest. Our coaches take charge of the ever-changing combination of individual and team-building exercises that we incorporate into every workout.

How much time would AlaVie Boot Camp take away from people's jobs?

Our corporate programs are designed by and for highly experienced business professionals who are short on time and looking to make the most of every minute they devote to their personal fitness. Our goal during each one-hour workout session is to leave participants feeling invigorated and ready to return to the challenges of their jobs.

Does it matter if some participants are not physically fit?

AlaVie Boot Camp is designed for people of all ages, abilities and fitness levels. We will never ask anyone to complete exercises that go beyond their capacity! To that end, we ask each participant to take part in fit tests at the beginning of camp so we can properly gauge their fitness level and capabilities. In addition, coaches demonstrate both high-impact and low-impact versions of exercises and vary the intensity of workouts on a daily basis to minimize fatigue and injury.

How often does AlaVie Boot Camp meet?

Corporate programs can be offered 2, 3, 4, or 5 days per week during AM or PM hours. We work around your schedule.

Is there any limit to the number of participants?

No. However, we are committed to maintaining a low boot camper to coach ratio and will add additional coaches as the number of program participants increases.

What is a typical AlaVie Boot Camp workout?

Outdoor workouts include (but are not limited to) team-building challenges, cardiovascular and strength circuits, speed/agility/power drills, sports-specific training (football, skiing, running, climbing, snowboarding, etc.), calisthenics, yoga, and pilates. Our coaches also utilize a wide range of equipment to add variety to the program, including fitness tubing, medicine balls, tennis balls, agility ladders, jump ropes, and weights.

What are some other benefits of the AlaVie Boot Camp program?

Besides enhanced strength and endurance, improved muscle tone, and dramatic improvements in physical well-being, boot camp participants enjoy increased self-confidence and a notable boost in their overall energy levels. Because we create a motivating team atmosphere during workouts, the program also enables people to have fun and form friendships as they work toward their fitness goals.
